Italfarmaco Folivit B12 - Vitamin B12 Dietary Supplement, 28 tablets

Folivit B12 is a dietary supplement containing 400μg folic acid and 2μg vitamin B12, offering the benefits of folic acid and vitamin B12 to the body. Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin of the B complex (vitamin B9), which the human body cannot synthesize. We obtain folic acid either through food (natural forms of folic acid with low bioavailability), or in the form of synthetic folic acid, which has the highest bioavailability. Only 50% on average of the folic acid in foods is nutritionally available, while its absorption varies greatly between different foods. Also, more than 50% of the folate content of foods is lost during the process of preservation, preparation and cooking. Folic acid is widely found in foods, with the best sources being liver, fresh beans, peas, fresh green leafy vegetables – mainly spinach, lettuce, radishes, cabbage, but also broccoli and asparagus. Good sources of folic acid are also potatoes and wholemeal bread, while oranges and bananas have satisfactory amounts of folate compared to other fruits. Vitamin B12 (cobalamin), like all B vitamins, is a water-soluble vitamin, it is not produced in the human body and its only source is diet, specifically animal products, i.e. meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. Vitamin B12 acts complementary to folic acid, contributing to its metabolism. This ensures the smooth development of the fetal neural tube during the early stages of pregnancy, as well as the increased needs during pregnancy. B12 deficiency blocks folic acid metabolism, which leads to low production of amino acids and nucleotides in a demanding period for cell division such as pregnancy.

For orders that do not exceed 3kg of volumetric weight*, the shipping cost is €3.00 when the order is under €50. For orders over this amount, shipping is free!
For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

• €5.80 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

• €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

Shipping to Cyprus and International Destinations

Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.

In-store Pickup

Orders marked as “Pickup from store” are available after confirmation, provided all products are in stock. You will receive an SMS notification when your order is ready.
