COVID-19 and Influenza A & B detection test with nasopharyngeal and/or oropharyngeal swab from CorDX with rapid immunochromatographic method. The test is intended for the qualitative detection of antigens of SARS-CoV-2 viruses, influenza A and B as well as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), the latter being a highly contagious upper respiratory virus that mainly infects children. Its packaging is designed to be easy to use and painlessly provides the result with >97% accuracy, within 15-20 minutes.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a virus that causes respiratory tract infections in patients of all ages and is the leading cause of lower respiratory tract infections during infancy and childhood. It is distributed worldwide and mainly causes epidemic respiratory tract infections in infants and young children. It is characterized by its excellent transmissibility, with more than 50% of all children by the age of one year having already been exposed to the virus and almost all children having been infected by the virus by the age of 2-3 years.

Specifically, RSV attacks the epithelial cells of the upper respiratory tract and leads to the formation of characteristic large syncytia (i.e., the union of many cells). It is possible that the spread of the virus in the tissues occurs by cell-to-cell fusion. The necrosis of these syncytia creates inflammatory secretions and obstruction of the respiratory tract, which ultimately lead to the occurrence of various problems. In addition, the descent of the viruses into the lower respiratory tract can lead to edema and collapse of the alveoli.

It has been observed that in most patients, infection with respiratory syncytial virus causes only mild symptoms, often difficult to distinguish from those of the common cold and other mild respiratory infections. 75% of all these infections in infants, occur harmlessly as rhinitis or nasopharyngitis, while more rarely complications, such as otitis, may be observed. In some cases, respiratory syncytial virus can cause bronchiolitis and pneumonia, which lead to severe respiratory disease that may require hospitalization. However, the occurrence of more severe forms of the disease is more likely to occur in immunocompromised patients or premature infants. Natural infection with respiratory syncytial virus does not induce protective immunity, and thus people can be infected and become ill multiple times.

In general, there is an annual pattern of RSV outbreaks in temperate climates during the winter months. In tropical climates, infection is more common during the rainy season.

For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

• €4.30 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

• €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.
