Cretan Iama - Cretan Heal from Olvos Science is the new natural medicinal preparation, based on traditional Cretan herbs, virgin olive oil and honey, which contributes in a natural way to strengthening the body's defenses. It is the fruit of many years of research by distinguished researchers at the University of Crete who transformed indigenous knowledge into essential knowledge, in collaboration with Olvos Science, a subsidiary of the Greek pharmaceutical company Galenica. The beneficial effect of selected aromatic herbs on upper respiratory infections led the researchers to the next step, that of creating Cretan Iama. The research highlighted the combination of essential oils from 3 aromatic herbs: Coridοthymus Capitatus Salvia Fruticosa and Origanum Dictamnus in specific proportions, together with extra virgin olive oil that works synergistically. Within the framework of the studies of the Clinical Virology Laboratory of the University Crete, a laboratory test of the extract of herbs from Crete was carried out. The results showed for the first time the effectiveness of the extract against viral infections, reducing the viral load and cytological lesions caused by viruses. The antiviral effect of the extract is confirmed both in experimental models and in clinical trials. ACTIVE INGREDIENTS Dittany (also known in Crete as "erontas"), thyme and sage, together with Cretan virgin olive oil join forces and create Cretan Iama - Cretan Iama. DICTAMUS (Origanum dictamnus) Dittany, or erontas, is an endemic herb of Crete. The healing properties of dittany have been known since ancient times, as well as the fact that wild goats in Crete ate dittany to heal their wounds when they were hit by hunters' arrows. In total, approximately 220 works by ancient Greek authors have been counted with more than 500 references to the therapeutic use of dittany. SAGE (Salvia fruticosa) The name Salvia comes from the Latin salvare, which means I save lives. It was considered a sacred herb by the Greeks who dedicated it to Zeus. Our ancestors used it as a general medicine and it is mentioned by Dioscorides, Aetius, Hippocrates and Galen, who particularly praised it. THYME (Coridothymus capitatus) Thyme has been known since antiquity. It was used by all the early Mediterranean civilizations as a medicinal plant. Hippocrates and Dioscorides describe its uses in their writings. Before modern antibiotics, thyme was widely used to soak gauze and bandages. For orders that do not exceed 3kg of volumetric weight*, the shipping cost is €3.00 when the order is under €50. For orders over this amount, shipping is free!
For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

 

BOX NOW Shipments up to €150

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

  • €4.30 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

  • €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

    The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

     

    Shipping to Cyprus and International Destinations

    Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
    Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.

    Orders marked as “Pickup from store” are available after confirmation, provided all products are in stock. You will receive an SMS notification when your order is ready.
