L-Mesitran Tulle 10cmX10cm - Sterile Synthetic Gauze, 10 pieces

The L-Mesitran Tulle 10cm X 10cm dressing is a sterile, non-adhesive, synthetic gauze that has been impregnated with the antibacterial ointment L-Mesitran® Soſt containing 40% medical-grade honey. The L-Mesitran® Tulle dressing is an excellent choice for healing superficial or medium-deep ulcers and medium-low exudates, while its use must be accompanied by an absorbent dressing.

Composition

• Medical grade honey (40%): Medium osmotic effect
• Vitamin C: Promotes the synthesis of collagen and connective tissues.
• Vitamin E: Powerful anti-inflammatory, immunological properties. Enhances the healing process.
• Hypoallergenic lanolin: Promotes wound epithelialization.
• Polyethylene glycols 4000: Viscosity stabilizers.

Indications

• Healing of superficial ulcers and medium-depth ulcers with low or medium exudates, e.g. 1st-3rd degree pressure ulcers with or without watery necrosis, postoperative wounds, graft removal areas, etc.
• Healing of 1st and 2nd degree burns, thermal, chemical, and radiotherapy.
• Healing of diabetic, venous, arterial, varicose ulcers.
• Use as a secondary dressing after ointments to ensure a moist environment in the ulcer.
• The product does not regenerate, requires skin discontinuity and is applied directly to the traumatic tissue of an open lesion (ulcer, wound, burn).

Product properties

• It performs natural cleansing of the ulcer due to the content of medical-grade honey and its subsequent osmotic action.
• It offers rich and continuous oxygenation of the ulcer, due to the maintenance of an acidic, low pH environment, significantly promoting healing.
• It nourishes the ulcer with vitamins, amino acids and minerals, which accelerate angiogenesis and the growth of new tissue.
• It has strong antimicrobial and antibacterial activity even against MRSA (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria, VRE bacteria and multi-resistant E.Coli bacteria that carry ESBL enzymes.
• It enhances the neutralization of ulcer inflammation by soothing swelling through its anti-inflammatory elements.
• It develops and maintains a natural, antiseptic environment in the ulcer, through an enzymatic reaction and subsequent production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), while it does not function cytotoxically, as is the case with conventional antiseptic/antimicrobial substances (silver, hydrogen peroxide, betadine, etc.), even if prolonged use and presence of the product in the lesion is required.
• It immediately neutralizes the odor of ulcer infections as bacteria choose to feed on the glucose in honey, producing odorless derivatives during their metabolism.

Application highlights

• The application of the product must be accompanied by the placement of an additional exudate-absorbing pad, e.g. gauze, foam, non-woven, etc.
• The product ensures painless dressing changes as it detaches easily during removal without damaging the tissue while also preventing the adhesion of the additional exudate-absorbing dressing.
• It is placed directly on the ulcer and adapts to its contours, while it can also be cut in order to be placed in more places or to adapt to the shape (e.g. oblong) of the ulcer.
• The recommended time for the product to remain on the ulcer is determined at 1-5 days depending on the condition of the ulcer. In case of infection, daily change of the product is recommended.
• It has no effect on blood glucose levels and does not penetrate the wound. No side effects have been observed or reported to date, however it is recommended that the product not be used by individuals allergic to its ingredients.

For orders that do not exceed 3kg of volumetric weight*, the shipping cost is €3.00 when the order is under €50. For orders over this amount, shipping is free!
For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

BOX NOW Shipments up to €150

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

• €4.30 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

• €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

Shipping to Cyprus and International Destinations

Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.

Additional customs charges may apply upon delivery of the package.

In-store Pickup

Orders marked as “Pickup from store” are available after confirmation, provided all products are in stock. You will receive an SMS notification when your order is ready.
