What are disposable nursing pads?

Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads are inserts for your bra that help absorb breast milk leaks during breastfeeding. Additionally, they will help you avoid extra washing in the washing machine.

How are disposable nursing pads used?

To use Medela Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads, remove the paper backing and place the pad on your bra with the sticky side facing the bra.

Why do you use disposable nursing pads?

Nearly 70% of mothers experience milk leakage in the first few weeks after giving birth. For many mothers, this decreases over time as milk production and demand balance out. Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads are designed to absorb and contain the leaking milk that occurs during and between breastfeeding or pumping sessions, helping to protect your clothes.

Can you use a disposable nursing pad without a bra?

Nursing pads need to be stuck to a surface, such as a bra, to stay in place.

How many nursing pads will I need per week/day?

It is recommended to change the Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads every 3-4 hours for hygiene reasons. Mothers need approximately 6 pads per breast per day, which is 12 pads for both breasts.

Can I reuse/wash my nursing pad?

Ultra-breathable nursing pads are disposable, so they should be discarded after use.

How do nursing pads stay in place?

There is a wide adhesive strip on the back of the pad, which adheres to the bra material to keep the pads securely in place.

When I remove the nursing pad, I notice that my nipple is stuck and hurts when I pull it. How can I prevent this?

Apply a small amount of Medela Purelan™ Lanolin Nipple Cream at each feeding to prevent skin from sticking to the nursing pad.

How often should I change nursing pads?

It is recommended to change the nursing pad every 3-4 hours for hygiene reasons.

Is it healthy to wear nursing pads at night and is there a risk of leakage?

Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads can also be worn at night, however, it is recommended to change the pad if you are leaking every 3-4 hours during the night.

How absorbent are Ultra-breathable nursing pads?

Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads absorb 50 times their weight, meaning they can absorb more than 40ml of breast milk.

Ultra-breathable nursing pads are just 1.6mm thin, so they are not visible under clothing.

Is it safe to wear nursing pads all day?

It is safe to wear the Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads all day long, however, it is recommended to change the pad every 3-4 hours for hygiene reasons.

Can nursing pads cause skin irritation?

Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads are dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.

We recommend that you do not use the product if signs of irritation appear. Seek medical advice if the nipple area becomes red or itchy, as this may be a sign of infection.

Are breastfeeding pads recommended when you have sore nipples?

Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads can also be used in cases of nipple pain. To relieve sore or dry nipples, Ultra-breathable nursing pads can be combined with Medela Purelan™ Lanolin Cream or Medela Organic Nipple Ointment.

In general, it is important to change soiled pads frequently to keep the breast and nipple area as dry as possible, to minimize potential problems such as infection or sore nipples.

Seek medical advice for sore or dry nipples, or if you are experiencing breast pain and signs of mastitis.

Are there dangerous chemicals in breastfeeding pads?

Your safety and that of your baby is always our top priority. Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads are free of hazardous chemicals and are dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.

Do all women need breastfeeding pads?

Not all women experience milk leakage, but almost 70% of mothers experience breast milk leakage after giving birth.

Can I wear nursing pads during pregnancy?

Medela Ultra-breathable disposable nursing pads are safe to use at any time. Occasionally, some women may experience milk leakage in the last months of pregnancy. However, this is not common.

Shipping with ACS Courier

For orders that do not exceed 3kg of volumetric weight*, the shipping cost is €3.00 when the order is under €50. For orders over this amount, shipping is free!
For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

BOX NOW Shipments up to €150

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

• €5.80 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

• €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

Shipping to Cyprus and International Destinations

Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.

In-store Pickup

Orders marked as “Pickup from store” are available after confirmation, provided all products are in stock. You will receive an SMS notification when your order is ready.
