The RapidFor Strep A Rapid Test Kit is an immunochromatographic rapid test for the qualitative, presumptive detection of group A streptococcal antigens in throat swab specimens.

This Kit is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of Strep A infections.

The RapidFor Strep A Rapid Test Kit is a qualitative, lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of Strep A carbohydrate antigen in throat swab specimens. In this assay, antibodies specific for Strep A antigens are immobilized in the test line region. During the test, antigens extracted from the swab specimen are captured by specific Strep A antibodies, which are attached to indicator particles. The mixture is passed along the membrane and the antigen-antibody-particle complex binds to the specific antibody in the test line region. Aggregation of the complexes produces a colored line in the test line region.

The appearance of the colored line in the test line region (T) indicates a Positive result, while its absence indicates a Negative result.
A red line should always appear in the control line region (C). It serves as a procedural control, confirming that sufficient sample volume was used and indicating adequate membrane removal and proper procedural technique.

How to use
  1. Place the empty sample tube in the holder.
  2. Open and add 4 drops of buffer A to the empty sample tube.
  3. Open and add 4 drops of Buffer B to the sample tube to which Buffer A was added.

Interpretation of Results
  • Positive: Both the purple test zone and the purple control zone appear on the membrane.
  • Negative: Only the purple control band appears on the membrane. The absence of a test band indicates a negative result.
  • Invalid: There should always be a purple control zone in the control region, regardless of the test result. If no control zone appears, the test is considered invalid.

For orders that do not exceed 3kg of volumetric weight*, the shipping cost is €3.00 when the order is under €50. For orders over this amount, shipping is free!
For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

 

BOX NOW Shipments up to €150

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

  • €5.80 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

  • €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

    The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

     

    Shipping to Cyprus and International Destinations

    Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
    Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.

     

    In-store Pickup

    Orders marked as “Pickup from store” are available after confirmation, provided all products are in stock. You will receive an SMS notification when your order is ready.

    The order must exceed €15 in value.

    Orders remain available at the pharmacy for up to 5 business days, after which they are automatically canceled.

    If any of the ordered products are not immediately available in our store, the waiting time may be up to 5 business days. You will be notified via email about product availability.
