Tributin - Dietary Supplement For Irritable Bowel Syndrome, 30 tablets

Tributin is available in the form of coated, gastro-resistant, controlled-release tablets.

The pharmaceutical technology used for the controlled-release form has been studied to deliver the three active ingredients (butyric acid, fructo-oligosaccharides and bifidobacteria) directly to the colon, where they can act effectively, contributing to the maintenance of the good condition of the colon epithelial cells, enhancing the cell cycle of the intestinal epithelium and promoting the normalization of bowel movements with a subsequent reduction in painful symptoms caused by the colon.

Properties

• Food for special medical purposes, for the dietary treatment of people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome.
• Formulated with butyric acid, fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and lactic enzymes (bifidobacteria), it is protected by an Italian (No 0001395328) and European (No 2289505) patent.
• It does not contain gluten.
• In coated, gastro-resistant, controlled-release tablets.

Ingredients and properties

• Butyric acid: Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid found in nature as a minor component in the fat fraction of milk and its derivatives.
• In humans, it is a substance that is formed naturally in the large intestine as a result of the fermentation of dietary fiber.
• It is the main energy source of the epithelial cells of the colon.
• It stimulates their replacement and normal maturation and plays an important "key" role in maintaining the integrity of the mucosa and in the healing process of intestinal lesions.
• Activates the reabsorption of water and sodium in the large intestine.
• It contributes to reducing intestinal pH, thus creating an inhospitable environment for the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
• Clinical experience has shown that in patients with cell balance disorders in the large intestine, and specifically in the ileocolic section, the intake of butyric acid leads to a notable improvement in symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and general malaise.
• Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS): Fructo-oligosaccharides are complex carbohydrates, i.e. natural sugars in the form of polymers found in small amounts in various plants.
• Along with other starch-type oligosaccharides such as inulin, fructo-oligosaccharides are almost indigestible.
• They are widely used for their "prebiotic" effect, which means that they are the nutrients of various bacterial populations that make up the intestinal flora.
• Fructo-oligosaccharides enhance the ability of lactic enzymes (probiotics) to promote normal intestinal function, especially when combined with highly beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria.
• Fructooligosaccharides also help prevent intestinal disorders such as constipation, colitis or diarrhea and contribute to improving digestion and absorption.
• Lactic enzymes (bifidobacteria): They are the most beneficial bacteria found in the large intestine of adults and children.
• These bacteria decrease with age and when health begins to decline.
• The population of Bifidobacterium Bifidus bacteria that colonize the human intestine can be destroyed by many factors related to lifestyle, hygiene and environmental conditions.

Benefits of bifidobacteria:

• Preventing colonization of the intestine by hostile pathogenic bacteria and fungi, with which bifidobacteria compete for nutrients.
• The production of acetic acid and lactic acid, which lower the pH of the intestine and therefore make the area inhospitable to other bacteria.
• Inhibition of bacteria that can convert dietary nitrates into potentially dangerous nitrites.
• An adequate population of bifidobacteria can solve constipation problems and improve intestinal function.

How to use

The usual dosage is 1 or 2 tablets daily, preferably on an empty stomach.

The dosage should be determined by the treating physician, taking into account the different individual needs of the patient.
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place.

For orders that do not exceed 3kg of volumetric weight*, the shipping cost is €3.00 when the order is under €50. For orders over this amount, shipping is free!
For orders over 3kg of volumetric weight*, there is an additional charge of €2.30 per extra kilogram.
If the chosen payment method is cash on delivery, there is an additional fee of €2.50.

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

• €5.80 for a medium locker (dimensions 17x45x62cm, up to 4kg)

• €6.90 for a large locker (dimensions 35x45x62cm, up to 7kg)

For orders over €150, shipping is free.

The parcel remains in the locker for 48 hours, with the possibility to extend for an additional 24 hours upon user request.

Shipping to Cyprus and International Destinations

Orders are shipped via DHL Courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination zone and product weight. You will be notified via email of the final shipping cost.
Prepayment via bank transfer or card is required for order shipment.

In-store Pickup

Orders marked as “Pickup from store” are available after confirmation, provided all products are in stock. You will receive an SMS notification when your order is ready.
